Children carrying their fruit to market, walking through the mountains. No road exists at the moment at this location in Saessie. CAFOD is supporting a project here where the community is building its own road, literally chipping their way through the mountain, by hand with a hammers and chisels. They are paid 7 birrs a day (50p) for this labour.
